Join us for the “Collegiate Edge” elite fencing camp, a unique opportunity for aspiring fencers to immerse themselves in the world of NCAA fencing! Over four days, participants will receive elite coaching from Coach Ben Bratton, NYU Head Coach and Revolution Fencing Center Head Coach; Coach Jason Pryor OLY, FAOP University City Head Coach and Former Harvard Assistant Coach; and Coach Khristopher White, Sacred Heart University Head Coach.

This camp is for athletes with at least one year of experience and with regular competition at the Regional, National and International levels.

Coach Benjamin Bratton – New York University Head Coach

Ben Bratton

Coach Ben is one of the most decorated épée fencers in U.S. history, and has won multiple national championships in Seniors, Juniors, and Cadets. Coach Ben served as the Olympic alternate in Men’s Épée at the 2016 Olympic Games. He competed on 8 Senior World Championship teams, won the silver medal in the team event in 2010, won the first in gold in the history of United States Fencing in 2012, and ranking as high as 30th in the world in Men’s Épée. As part of the Pan American Championship Teams, Coach Ben competed in 2017, 2016, 2015, 2011, and 2010; winning the individual bronze in 2017, team gold in 2015, and team gold in 2011. In 2012 Coach Ben became the first African-American fencer to win a World Championship title as a member of the U.S. Men’s Épée Team; together they became the first-ever Men’s Fencing Team to win gold at the World Team Championships in American fencing history.

A graduate of St. John’s University, Coach Ben brings over a decade of experience as a youth coach with the Peter Westbrook Foundation, a nonprofit that works with inner city youth in New York City. Coach Ben is the New York University varsity head coach and holds the Prévôt d’Épée coaching certification; he leads all programming in our Chester County program in Exton, PA, and lives in Chester County with his wife and two children.

Coach Jason Pryor OLY – Fencing Academy of Philadelphia-University City Head Coach

Coach Jason Pryor is a 2016 U.S. Olympian in Men’s Épée, former U.S. National Champion, and was Assistant Coach for Harvard University’s 2024 NCAA National Championship team.A Cleveland native, Pryor graduated from The Ohio State University, where he won the 2008 NCAA team title and earned All-American honors twice.

Internationally, Pryor earned multiple Pan American medals, including team gold and individual bronze at the 2015 Pan American Championships, as well as team silver and individual bronze at the 2015 Pan American Games. As U.S. Épée Coach at the 2019 Pan Am Games, he led the Women’s Épée team and Kat Holmes to gold.

At FAOP University City, Pryor brings Olympic experience, a proven record of developing champions, and a coaching philosophy focused on technical mastery, mental preparation, and competitive excellence. Coach Jason earned the Prévôt d’Épée coaching certification and lives in Philadelphia with his wife.

Coach Khristopher White – Sacred Heart University Head Coach

Coach Khristopher White is the Head Coach of Sacred Heart University’s Fencing team. White has been the Athlete Performance Manager and Program Coordinator for the Peter Westbrook Foundation, a New York City organization that addresses social, physical, academic and health barriers by using fencing to offer structured activities and academic support to underprivileged youth. He served as mentor and coach to over 150 kids while also managing more than 40 athletes from ages eight to 30 in reaching their goals in the sport. Four of those athletes qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

White had a decorated career as a Sacred Heart Pioneer, helping his team win four consecutive NEC championships while twice earning all-conference honors. He was part of a first-place Épée squad that led the Pioneers to a New England Intercollegiate Fencing Championship in 2015, SHU’s second such title with White. Coach White was part of the first Sacred Heart Épée unit to finish first at the National Collegiate Squad Championships in 2015, the winter that he qualified for the NCAA Championships.
