Coach David has grown up in the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia program and is a nationally competitive épée fencer, finishing in the upper 20% in the 2023 Junior Olympics and the top 12% in JME in the 2022 July Challenge. David teaches primarily at West Chester and North (Wyncote), and learns from students of all ages every day. A dedicated armourer with a zeal for all gear, but especially weapons, Coach David plays guitar, rock climbs, and mountain bikes when he is not on the strip or coaching. He has developed as a fencer, coach, and human under Maestro Mark Masters, and exemplifies the club values of athleticism, sportsmanship, rigor, kindness, respect, inclusion, and fun.
